Libya Oil Production and Revenues Rise in June 2026, NOC Reports Strong Output

Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) reported strong oil and gas performance in June 2026, with high crude output, solid export flows, and robust revenue transfers to the state. The latest figures highlight continued stability in Libya’s energy sector despite operational and fiscal pressures.

The NOC confirmed total crude oil production of 41.87 million barrels during June. The corporation allocated nearly 29.95 million barrels to the Libyan state, while international partners received about 10.91 million barrels under existing production-sharing agreements.

Export activity remained strong. Libya exported 25.48 million barrels of crude during the month. The country also directed 4.09 million barrels to domestic refineries to meet local fuel demand. Power plants received 372,105 barrels to support electricity generation across the country.

The NOC reported $3.26 billion in oil revenues transferred to the sovereign account at the Libyan Foreign Bank. It also transferred 2.72 billion dinars in royalties and concession taxes to the Ministry of Oil and Gas. These figures confirm oil’s continued dominance in Libya’s fiscal structure.

Gas output and domestic supply remain steady

Gas production reached 73.32 billion cubic feet in June. The NOC stated that 71.66 billion cubic feet remained available for consumption. The country used 53.38 billion cubic feet for domestic demand, while sour gas and low-pressure hydrocarbons accounted for 11.36 billion cubic feet.

The corporation also highlighted that fuel import letters of credit reduce the final amount transferred to the sovereign account before remaining balances move to the Central Bank of Libya.

Libya continues to rely heavily on hydrocarbons for state revenue, electricity supply, and industrial activity. The June figures confirm steady upstream performance and consistent export capacity.

Oil production levels remain close to multi-year highs as Libya maintains output above 1.4 million barrels per day in recent months, supported by field stability and gradual maintenance recovery across key basins.

Libya’s June performance shows a stable production base and strong fiscal inflows. However, long-term revenue growth depends on infrastructure upgrades, reduced flaring losses, and sustained investment in both oil and gas expansion.
