Tripoli to Host EPAIX 2026 as Libya Pushes Digital Payments Expansion

Tripoli will host the Electronic Payments and Digital Transformation Exhibition (EPAIX 2026) on June 17–18 at the Tripoli International Fairgrounds, bringing together banks, fintech companies, payment service providers, and technology firms from Libya and abroad. The event will take place under the patronage of the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya and the supervision of the General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences.

Organizers say the exhibition aims to support the growth of Libya’s financial technology sector and accelerate the country’s digital transformation agenda. Participants will showcase electronic payment solutions, financial technology services, and new digital platforms designed to modernize Libya’s banking ecosystem.

The event has attracted strong backing from major Libyan banks and financial institutions. Sponsors include Jumhouria Bank, Sahara Bank, National Commercial Bank, Libyan Islamic Bank, and several payment and technology companies.

EPAIX 2026 reflects the growing importance of digital finance in Libya’s economy. In recent years, authorities and financial institutions have expanded electronic payment services to reduce reliance on cash transactions, improve financial inclusion, and strengthen banking efficiency. Similar initiatives have become a key part of broader efforts to modernize Libya’s financial sector.

As Libya seeks to attract investment and improve financial infrastructure, events such as EPAIX provide a platform for banks, fintech firms, and entrepreneurs to build partnerships and introduce new technologies. The exhibition also highlights the increasing role of digital services in supporting economic development and financial sector reform across the country.
